With increasing awareness on environmental impact resulting from industrial activities, our accurate and unbiased analysis will aid companies in their environmental protection commitment & to meet regulatory compliance under the Environmental Protection and Management Act & Environmental Public Health Act.

1. Off-road Diesel Engine (ORDE) Emission Test & Certification

With effect from 01 July 2012, NEA has mandated a regulatory requirement for all off-road diesel engines*, both new and/or used, that are intended for use in Singapore to comply with EU Stage II, US Tier II or Japan Tier II emission standards (tested to ISO 8178). This regulation includes engine power above 560kW.

STS is the first accredited test centre in Singapore to perform the emission test and provide the test certificate conforming to ISO 8178 standards.

*Off-road diesel engines are any equipment or machinery that is equipped with diesel engines as the main or auxiliary prime mover and not registered with the Land Transport Authority (LTA) for use on public roads.
