1. Vibration, Shock & Drop Test

  • Purpose
    o     To simulate road, air, sea transportation and other vibration loads including repetitive / non-repetitive shocks / bumps
    o     To search for vibration resonance

2. Combined Temperature, Humidity with Vibration Test

  • Purpose

  • Purpose
    o     To simulate adverse hot / cold / humid conditions during storage, operation and transportation
    o     To simulate effects of low pressure
    o     To screen out defective / poor quality components / products
    o     To simulate storage or palletised & stacked products
    o     To determine operating limits, improve reliability
    o     To evaluate non-hermetic packaging of solid state equipment in humid environment

4. Highly Accelerated Life Testing (HALT) / Highly Accelerated Stress Screening (HASS)

  • Purpose of HALT
    o     To find the weak links in the design and fabrication processes during the design phase by using stimuli including all axes vibration, broad range thermal cycling, burn-in, over-voltage, voltage cycling
  • Purpose of HASS
    o     To screen and detect latent defects in regular production units in the shortest possible time
  • Rapid High and Low Temperature Cycling

5. Reliability Testing for Restricted Hazardous Substances (RoHS)

  • Purpose
    o     To grow and evaluate tin-whiskers in electroplated surfaces containing tin in lead-free soldering

6. Dust and Water ingress protection test 

  • Purpose
    o     To simulate effects of dust, water on electro-mechanical devices, products and system.
    o     Determination of IP-protection for housing of electrical devices and equipment

7. Solar Radiation test 

  • Purpose
    o     To determine the operational and chemical effects of solar radiation on equipment that may be exposed to sunshine during use, operation and unsheltered storage
